How Reiki Helps You to Relax, Reset & Reconnect

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Prevention is better than cure.” This couldn’t be truer when it comes to your health and wellbeing, especially as you navigate the pressures of life and career.

Stress can show up in surprising ways — headaches, tight shoulders, poor sleep, digestive issues or skin flare-ups. Over time, stress can affect your body’s natural defences. Reiki gently supports all your body’s systems, helping to restore balance.

When your systems are in balance, you feel more grounded, less reactive, and better equipped to handle whatever life throws your way. Regular treatments don’t just help you recover — they help you maintain your wellbeing and prevent minor issues from becoming bigger health problems.

Many women come to me never having had a Reiki treatment before. What draws them is the search to experience the deep relaxation, clarity, and restored balance (mentally, emotionally, and physically) that they hear others who have worked with me are achieving.

For women running their own business or working in a demanding senior role and running a household, the load can be heavy. Between the endless tasks, decisions, and the emotional demands of work and life, it is easy to lose touch with yourself, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and mentally or physically exhausted.

Individual Wellness Plan

It all starts with a Discovery Call. Here we explore what’s going on with you and see if we’re a good fit. Before recommending a treatment programme, I take time to understand five key things about you:

  • Your current situation — What’s happening in your life and/or work right now?
  • Your reason for coming — Do you want to relax, recover from stress, manage a health issue, or simply carve out time and space for yourself?
  • Your goals — How do you want to feel? What would you like to achieve?
  • Your timescale — Are you seeking short-term relief or long-term change?
  • Your budget — We’ll create a plan that’s both effective and practical for you.

If you choose to book a treatment programme, at your first session, we’ll review your consultation form, discuss your wellness goals, and map out a personalised plan.

You will then have treatments designed to help you relax mentally and physically. Each session ends with gentle aftercare advice on things you can do between treatments to support your wellbeing.

How Often Should You Have Reiki?

This is one of the most common questions I’m asked. The truth is there’s no single answer, as each person’s needs are unique. I offer treatment courses of Reiki and/or reflexology, but you don’t have to commit to a course right away. Many women begin with one session to see how they feel, and from there, we can discuss the best plan for you. Here’s a general guide, which we’ll tailor to your personal needs:

Weekly or Fortnightly – If you’re dealing with a long-term health condition, going through a major life change, or feeling overwhelmed by stress, weekly or fortnightly sessions help you reset and regain stability. Once you start feeling more balanced, we can reduce the frequency to monthly for maintenance.

Monthly – If your main goal is to de-stress and recharge regularly, monthly treatments are ideal. This is also a great option if you want to include Reiki as part of your ongoing self-care routine or manage a long-term condition preventatively.

One-Off Sessions – A one-time session can give you a lovely moment of calm, but if you’ve been carrying stress for a long time, a single treatment is unlikely to create lasting change. Most women find that a course of treatments brings the deeper, longer-lasting benefits they’re looking for.

What Clients Are Saying

Here’s what Emma, a recent client, shared after completing her course of treatments:

“After a difficult two years, I was feeling frazzled, stressed, and anxious. I’d had one-off treatments elsewhere, but they only provided a quick fix. My course of treatments with Sharon helped me feel better for longer. I’m now less anxious, more mindful of my own needs, and managing stressful situations much better.”
