Why you should have a course of treatments

I’ve been working as a complementary therapist for almost 12 years now. Over the years I’ve worked in many different situations, seen hundreds of clients and performed thousands of treatments.

Take some time out for selfcare

I love the variety of each client coming with their own situation, challenges and specific needs. At the start of my therapist journey, I saw many people who wanted a one-off treatment as a pampering, me-time session. I still see a few of this type of client now. These pamper treatments make great gifts, and a one-off treatment can bring quick relief to a sore muscle.

After a while, some clients were having more regular quick-fix treatments whenever work or life got a little more stressful.

I was seeing: –

  •  An accountant at quarter end
  • Teachers at the end of term
  •  A marketing director at the end of a big campaign
  • A nurse whenever she could fit it in around her shifts etc.

They would come to me when they had: –

  • Tight shoulder, neck and back muscles due to work pressures
  • Increased headaches due to feeling overwhelmed from caring for a sick relative.
  • Low energy and mood due to lack of confidence after starting a new job
  • A flair-up of a stress-related condition such as IBS, psoriasis, eczema, anxiety.

These clients would return every three months or so for another treatment. They were tired of feeling this way and were looking for regular quarterly or monthly treatments that fitted in with their work and lifestyle.

Before long, some clients started requesting courses of treatments to address a specific concern. Those having five or six treatments were beginning to see improvements in their physical and mental health. Clients having regular monthly treatments started saying they were feeling calmer, had more clarity on situations in their life and felt more confident and in control.

One client felt the Reiki treatments she was having helped her to deal with a situation that she would have previously found difficult. Another said he was generally more relaxed. He is now enjoying taking holidays, spending more time with his family and now enjoying his walks with his dogs.

Course of Treatments

Following on from these results and together with the feedback I was receiving, I decided to put together Courses of Treatments. These are designed for clients who prefer regular treatments that fit into their busy lifestyle. My Treatment Courses include bespoke, tailored advice and tips on managing your physical and emotional stress levels.

About Sharon

Sharon lives with her partner Geoff in Warwickshire, and they have two adult children. Sharon worked for over 25 years in office environments, gaining qualifications to degree level in finance, business and management. While there she witnessed and experienced many stressful situations and suffered illnesses which were stress related.

Sharon was advised to make some changes to her lifestyle which included trying complementary therapies. After experiencing the benefits of complementary treatments, she decided to retrain and to share her knowledge and experiences to help others recognise and manage their own physical and emotional stress and anxiety levels.

Sharon has been working as a complementary therapist for over 12 years now. She still loves helping people to feel uplifted, focused, positive and empowered about their lives.
